Stores busted for selling alcohol to minors

ASCENSION PARISH, La (WVLA)--Right before the Halloween holiday weekend authorities in Ascension Parish helped put a stop to underage alchohol purchases.
In a sting Friday, four stores were busted for allowing minors to buy liquor.
Under the direct supervision of Juvenile Division Investigators, seventeen year olds were sent into area stores.
Authorities say the teens were allowed to purchase alcohol illegally from the following stores:

Prairieville Super Stop on Hwy 73

Andy's Grocery on Hwy 621

The Top Fuel Gas Station on Airline Hwy

Fisherman's One Stop on Hwy 22

The employees who sold the alcohol to the minors, 20-year-old Monique Martin, 30-year-old Danielle Logan, 21-year-old Shay Tate and 26-year-old Kimberly Quave were each issued a summons for sales of alcohol to persons under 21.
