'Startup Bus' competition stops through Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — We got a behind the scenes sneak peek of Startup Bus. It's a 3 day competition where teams ride cross-country developing their own technology business. One bus stopped through Springboard here in Baton Rouge. It all ends Thursday in San Antonio when investors will determine which team will see their dream realized. Entrepreneurs or "buspreneur," as their called, are pretty excited.
Jason Ibarra, one Buspreneur said, "We've done so much in two days. It's crazy, we've developed an animated video for our product, we've built a brand, we've built a website. I'm really enjoying being a competitor. It's mind-blowing."
Director of North America Startup Bus, Jonathan Gottfried, said "It's very intense and very dedicated, but what comes out of it is a very strong community."
Trey Godfrey, Partner/Co-Founder of Springboard added, "It's really exciting to have startup bus with us this evening these folks are the best and the brightest young entrepreneurs from around America."
