Southern continues search for a chancellor

Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The search for a new chancellor is winding down at Southern University.
The final candidates are being interviewed this week.
The committee started their search for a chancellor after Kofi Lomotey turned in his resignation back in November.
Members of the search committee say they know making the right decision is important for the future of the school.
"We're hoping that we can get someone in that can identify some of the problems, look at some of the good things that are going on here, then give us a vision that brings us into the future," says Pat Magee, a member of the committee to search for a chancellor.
The interviews will continue throughout the week.
Chancellor Lomotey's last day is set for June 30.
