Sour Note: NY music teacher busted for pawning school instruments to fund heroin addiction
Keshequa, NY (WHEC) — A New York school music teacher and her boyfriend are facing charges after state police say they were stealing musical instruments and selling them at pawn shops.
Thirty-year-old Danielle Conner-Willowglade is charged with grand larceny in Livingston County and criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a controlled substance in Monroe County.
Conner-Willowglade is a music teacher at the Keshequa Elementary and Middle/High Schools. Police say she was stealing musical instruments from the schools and taking them to pawn shops in Monroe County for cash. Police say she admitted to taking up to 50 instruments from the school to get cash for her addiction to heroin.
