Sister of accused Boston Marathon bomber faces charges related to counterfeiting ring
NBC NATIONAL NEWS — The sister of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev appeared in a Boston court Wednesday on charges connected to an investigation into the use of counterfeit money.
Ailina Tsarnaeva, who now lives in New Jersey, was charged in 2010 with willfully misleading the police investigating the passing of counterfeit money at a Boston Applebee's restaurant.
She did not show up for her court hearing in 2011.
Tsarnaeva has no known connection to the case of her brother, who is facing charges in the Boston Marathon bombing that killed three and injured more than 200 people.
