BATON ROUGE (NBC33) - Early Sunday morning a shootout killed one person, and caused another to crash a car.

It happened around 2:00 this morning.

The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to a shooting on Winnebago street at Pawtucket street.

Police say that two assailants shot at each other at Mohican and Plank road, and the kept going to Winnebago street, until one of the gunmen crashed their car into this fence.

Officers saw that the driver had been shot, and a passenger, Michael Allen, 22, was also shot, but still breathing. He was taken to a local hospital.

Police officers then saw a woman close to the other car in the shooting. She had minor injuries, and was taken to an area hospital.

This shooting is still under investigation.
