Sheriff Issues Apology

Tangipahoa Sheriff's office has issued an apology.
Earlier this week told you Derek Quebedeaux had a previous drunk driving arrest from 2007.
The case never made it to court. The Sheriff had this to say about that case.

"My philosophy as sheriff has been and always will be that the buck stops with me. To that end, I apologize for and sincerely regret that this 2007 DWI file was not properly duplicated and transferred to the DA's Office."

Quebedeaux is still behind bars in Tangipahoa Parish on $750,000 bail.
