ScholarWise offers $100,000 scholarship giveaway
BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) – “Any school, any student, any time,” is the theme for the latest fundraising effort for Special Olympics Louisiana. That’s because buying a ticket could land you a $100,000 dollar scholarship that can be used towards any form of education related payments.
In a press conference held this morning at the Louisiana State Police Headquarters on Independence Blvd., Col. Mike Edmonson of the Louisiana State Police purchased the first $100 ticket for the scholarship giveaway.
Scholarwise is offering the grand prize for the second annual event. All the money raised goes towards the Special Olympics.
The winner of the prize can use the money towards things like
-Tuition - anywhere in the U. S. or abroad - Pre-K through 12, college, graduate school, technical college, continuing education, online and international studies
-Room & Board - for college students books, Supplies, and Fees
-Education-related Travel Expenses
-Repayment of Student Loans
-Enrichment Programs for Adult Learners
-Support for Your School - capital campaigns; educational, music, and athletic programs; and equipment purchases
Last year’s winner, Sabrina Duhe was available today. She used the money to pay for private school tuition for her two children.

There are special prizes for those who purchase a ticket before March 4, 2011. The final deadline to purchase is April 24, 2011.
