Road project still on, money not for crime
BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA)- It appears the money one council member wanted to move from road projects to crime initiatives will stay right where it is.
A Baton Rouge metro council committee has voted to keep almost a million dollar on a downtown road project.
The project will turn St. Louis and St. Ferdinand streets from one lane to two.
Nothing is set in stone yet, the move goes before the full council next week.
