This week's heavy rain is taking it's toll on area rivers.
The Amite river just outside of Baton Rouge has left feet of water on local back roads - and with the National Weather Service saying waters will rise more, some are finding higher ground for the weekend.
One person we spoke with says he's staying put.
The National Weather Service says the Amite River at Bayou Manchac Point, the Tickfaw River near Holden and Montpelier, and the Comite River at Comite Joor Road will all go well about flood stage this weekend.
