This is an NBC33 News Update: Authorities in Arizona believe they have discovered the body of a woman they believe to be Suellen Roberts, the mother of the girl who was found missing in Catahoula Parish. The remains were found in a remote area off Interstate 40 in northwestern Arizona.

Suellen Roberts, 31

Original Story: GULFPORT, MS (WVLA) -- The man connected to the kidnapping and shooting death of 12-year-old Lexis Kaye Roberts was arrested this weekend.

The month-long manhunt ended Sunday, Nov. 14 in the morning hours. FBI agents arrested Thomas Steven Sanders at a truck stop in Gulfport, Missisissipi.

Sanders was declared dead in that state back in 1994, and is now accused of abducting the young girl. The child's skeletal remains were found in the woods near Harrison, Louisiana in early October.

Authorities say  they're looking for the child's mother, Suellen Roberts. She's not a suspect in Lexis' murder but she was the person last seen with the child.
