BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) -- One local rapper likes the former governor so much, he rapped about him. His name is Young Kidd Kidd, and his new song about Edwin Edwards is making it's way around the area.
An NBC33 employee, Karen Mire, wrote the song for Young KIdd Kidd. It focuses on the 83-year-old's release from prison less than a week ago, and his transition back into society.
"It's about him just coming home and him just getting a second chance really cause everybody makes mistakes, but its on what we do after learn from our mistakes and what we do after that," says Young Kidd Kidd of his song.
The song is only about 40 seconds long right now, but Kidd says he plans to make a full version by this weekend.
