THIS IS AN NBC33 NEWS UPDATE: Dalvin D. Mullens, 18, has been charged by East Baton Rouge detectives with three counts of Attempted First Degree Murder.
Mullens was already in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for previous charges. He told detectives he got into a argument with three men in another vehicle; he claims one of them drew a gun, so he drew his own weapon and began to shoot.
Mullens then took the police to where he hid the weapon in question.
Mullens admitted to detectives that he drove to the Shell station and while there got into a verbal altercation with three males in another vehicle. Mullens said one of the men in the other car pulled a gun from the glove compartment of their car, so he drew his own gun and began shooting at them.
Mullens took detectives to the location where he had stashed the weapon used in the Shell station shooting and he was charged accordingly.
