So the entire community has the opportunity to honor the Amite High School football team the town of Amite has moved the annual Christmas parade to Thursday, December 15 starting at 6 p.m. The town of Amite plus the Amite Chamber of Commerce is hoping for a big crowd to share in the Holiday fun and thanks the residents and businesses of Amite for their support and passion for their community.

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Deputy Albert Sharp and K-9, Titan, are the Grand Marshal's this year as they parade through downtown Amite. With this year's theme being "A Heroes Christmas", the chamber is recognizing the men and women of law enforcement, the fire protection service, and the military who serve this community valiantly. The chamber understands the sacrifice these officers, deputies, firefighters, and soldiers make, especially during the Christmas holidays. K-9 Titan has shown his bravery and dedication to protecting citizens. Titan was shot in the line of duty during a recent, dangerous manhunt but he's making good progress.

If you have any questions please call Ashley at the chamber offices at (985) 748-5537.
