RAPIDES PARISH - Alleged inappropriate relationships between coaches and students have made national headlines. Now it's an issue in Pineville. That's where a teacher turned himself in after investigating an alleged relationship between him and a student at school. Timothy Rodriguez, 27, was charged with 2 counts of Prohibited Sexual Conduct between an Educator and a Student. He's on staff with the school's athletics department and police tell us that a complaint was filed against him for allegedly having sex with a student at his home in Grant Parish. The Superintendent says Rodiguez has been suspended, and will most likely be without a job.

TANGIPAHOA PARISH – A 23-year old was locked up and charged with armed robbery. Deputies say Nicholaus Melford walked into a store, got behind the counter, and threatened the clerk with a gun. A deputy says he noticed Melford minutes after the robbery. That's when he was taken into custody. The clerk in the store wasn't hurt.

EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH - Two daycare workers responsible for the death of 3-year old Damiyn Mcelveen are facing a long sentence. Kyandrea Thomas and Michelle Vargas are sentenced to 10,000-hours of community service. The former Wanda's Kids World Employees were also put on five years probation and have to repay the Mcelveen family for the cost of the funeral. The 3-year old died after being left in a daycare van back in July 2009. The high that day was 98 degrees.
