LAFAYETTE PARISH - UL Lafayette's Ragin Cajun football team is packed up and headed to New Orleans. They'll face off against San Diego state in the New Orleans Bowl. The Cajuns have a busy week ahead as they prepare for their first bowl game in 40 years.

SAINT MARTIN PARISH - The sheriff's office has arrested a man for sexually assaulting children, 57 year-old Dwight Landry from Breaux Bridge. Detectives say two victims have come forward. Landry was arrested and booked into the St. Martin Parish jail on aggravated incest and molestation charges.

LIVINGSTON PARISH - Talk about a nightmare trying to get into Baton Rouge this morning from Livingston parish. An 18-wheeler carrying pipes flipped, blocking traffic for hours in the east and westbound lanes. In addition to the 18-wheeler damage, there was a seven car pile-up; six people were treated for injuries, and the driver of the big rig got a ticket.

ORLEANS PARISH - You know him as the Saints quarterback; on Thursday morning, he's taking on a different role as he visits Sesame Street. Brees visited the show just before the football season began. His episode, where he'll appear with Elmo, debuts Thursday morning.
