TANGIPAHOA - One suspect in alleged car thefts is locked up but another is still on the loose. Benjamin White, 30, was taken into custody Tuesday in Hammond. He's thought to have played a part in almost 80 residential burglaries in the Hammond area over the past few weeks. Now, he's charged with 76 counts of burglary. A second suspect is still on the loose. Call Tangipahoa Parish Crime Stoppers if you have any information.

EAST BATON ROUGE - Sweetie Pie, the famous cow at Kleinpeter Dairy, has given birth. It all happened around midnight on Tuesday. Kleinpeter officials say they're going to have a contest to name the baby. Also, the folks at Kleinpeter say they're going to host a "baby shower" with all proceeds going to the Friends of the Animals.

EAST BATON ROUGE - If you're heading out of town this weekend, we have a traffic alert on I-12 to pass on to you. The DOTD says they're shutting two of three lanes on both I-12 eastbound and westbound from 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. from Friday night to Sunday morning. The lanes from Drusilla to Millerville are being affected. The closure is happening so DOTD can work on pavement patching. One lane will be open at all times, but plan for delays.
