Orleans - On the last night of the 2012 carnival season, a shooting in the French Quarter. It happened around 8:30. Police say two people were shot in the leg. The suspects, two juveniles, were taken into custody after a quick chase. Thousands packed into the French Quarter for Mardi Gras, and all the festivities. One person was stabbed on Tuesday night in the Quarter. Both incidents are still under investigation.

Lafayette - Lafayette developer Glenn Stewart was arrested and charged with second degree battery. That after police say he punched and knocked out Erin Fitzgerald. We're told Fitzgerald tried to remove banners from Stewart's float that showed her mom, Cherry Fisher May, in a bad light. May is the co-publisher of the Independent Weekly Newspaper. Stewart has been upset with the May's since they published a story, highlighting a tax loophole he used to pay lower property taxes. He's already bonded out of jail. If convicted on the battery charges Stewart could lose his medical license since it's a felony.

Winn - Winnfield having a parade this weekend for a police chief who's getting out of jail. Johnny Ray Carpenter was serving a six month sentence for obstruction. Reaction in the city mixed on the parade. Those against the idea say it sends the wrong message to children, but those in support of the parade say the chief should be admired for the concern of the people in the town before the charges were filed. The mayor doesn't have a comment. The parade is being organized by people in the city not the city itself.

Caddo - An effort to ban pajamas in public is dropped. Officials decided not to bring Caddo Parish Commissioner Michael Williams' pajama ban to Wednesday's full agenda. Williams wanted to ban the wearing of pajama pants in public. After getting national attention, officials say the issue is dropped for now but it could be brought up again down the road.

That's a look at what's happening - parish by parish.
