-- A natural gas well is still spewing out of control near Lafayette tonight.

Crews have been trying to cap it since 10 a.m. on April 27.

The well, which is located on Borque Road near the town of Duson, has forced 100 homes in the area to be evacuated.

A shelter for all those people has been set up at a local middle school.

No word yet on what caused the blowout, but NBC33 has been told there was no fire or explosion, nor any injuries occurring from the incident.
