The St. Landry Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the death of Sandra Tillett after her husband Arthur Tillett led detectives to where her body was buried.

On Saturday, Dec. 21, police discovered Sandra Tillett’s body buried under the concrete slab of a shed in the Tillett’s backyard.

Sheriff Bobby Guidroz reported that Arthur Tillett only admitted to burying his wife’s body after her death. He did not actually admit to murdering her or contributing to her death in any way.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

Sandra Tillett had been missing since July.

Arthur Tillett had gone missing in December, but he was found and arrested in Omega, Georgia during the week of Dec. 18.

Arthur Tillett remains a person-of-interest in the investigation. He is currently being held in the St. Landry Parish Jail.
