Oil rig explosion in Gulf of Mexico injures workers

Several people were injured in an oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico.

The coast guard is searching for at least 11 workers. The blast happened around 10:00 Tuesday night, about 52 miles southeast of Venice, LA.

126 people were on the platform. Officials say 7 have been injured.

Crews battled the fire through Wednesday morning.
