A massive fire at CoCo Resources Warehouse in Denham Springs left some serious clean-up for the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality. Officials have been on the scene since yesterday afternoon. They have set up sites all over the area to monitor air and water quality. The biggest concern today was water run-off. Water used to fight the fire yesterday picked up unknown chemicals and carried them into streams and ditches in the area.

DEQ teamed up with the Department of Public Works to bring in huge mounds of dirt and clay to stop the run-off from contaminating other parts of the parish. Officials plan to pump the water into huge storage tanks and get rid of it accordingly.

They have a crew on site 24 hours a day. Officials say they'll be there until the site is cleaned up.
