New attacks on Baghdad have lawmakers weighing their options

NBC NATIONAL NEWS — New attacks on Baghdad have Washington lawmakers weighing their options.
The fear is if this enemy isn't stopped the United States could be their next target.
The U.S. is trying to shore up support among other Arab countries while protecting our people on the ground.
"We need air power immediately to stop the advance toward Baghdad," says Senator Lindsey Graham, South Carolina.
With Iraqi soldiers abandoning their posts, Shiite militias are now taking up arms against Isis - the al-Qaeda linked group that's seized part of northwestern Iraq.
A dozen people died in explosions Sunday.
Lawmakers are urging President Obama to get involved fast to send a message.
"You intend to do harm to America or Americans, we're going to come after you. We're going to bring a ring of fire on you, you hope that never happened," says Senator Joe Manchin, West Virginia.
Three U.S. ships have been sent to the Persian Gulf.
Secretary of state John Kerry's calling our allies in the region - the Saudis, Jordan, Qatar - for help.
