NBC News — Women in Egypt are voicing their concerns over the country's new constitution. Women activists are pushing for equal protection in the new constitution but say they are being shortchanged.
There is widespread fear by moderates in the country that the now Islamist dominated parliament will try to put in place tougher, more conservative laws based on Sharia Law. Since the revolution women have been taking to the streets on a regular basis to express their concerns. Under Hosni Mubarak's rule women enjoyed widespread freedom under the law.
