Violence continues in Syria even as a crucial ceasefire deadline approaches.

Amateur video surfacing today, Monday, April 9, purportedly shows a representative of the Free Syria Army talking about its commitment to abide by tomorrow's deadline.

That commitment, however, depends on one condition, according to the Free Syria Army that the Syrian regime also abides by the ceasefire.

Syria’s government on Sunday made an additional demand that rebel forces make written guarantees to lay down their weapons.

Rebels have refused.

Meantime, new footage in the Damascus suburb of Douma appears to show members of the Free Syrian Army clashing with Syrian troops. Smoke could be seen rising from a building in the background.

A large funeral procession was held nearby to remember those killed in the violent battles.

The clashes have forced Syrians to flee to neighboring turkey.

Activists say Syrian forces fired across the border, killing one person and wounding four. The wounded were taken to nearby hospitals.

NBC News cannot verify the authenticity of the amateur video.
