Violence continues in Syria
NBC News — Violence continued across Syria tuesday. Massive demonstrations have been taking place in the city of Homs despite a heavy military presence there. Homs has been at the center of Syria's pro-democracy movement since it began months ago.
According to human rights groups more than 3500 people have been killed in the government's crackdown on demonstrators. Democracy groups have demanded the resignation of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The Arab League has called upon Assad to end his attacks on civilians.
