Victims of bombing attacks in India are laid to rest
NBC News — Mourners gathered at Mumbai's burial grounds and crematoriums thursday for the funerals of the victims from wednesday's triple bombing. The bombings shook three separate neighborhoods within minutes of each other during wednesday's busy evening rush hour. The attacks were the city's worst since the siege on Mumbai in 2008 that killed 166 people.
Officials say 17 people were killed in the attacks and 131 were injured, 23 seriously. So far nobody has claimed responsibility for the attacks and Indian police have launched a major investigation. After the blasts police set up checkpoints and put the city on high alert.
