Vice President Biden tours Mongolia
NBC News — Vice President Joe Biden arrived in Mongolia monday on the second leg of his Asia tour. While meeting with the country's Prime Minister, Biden praised the country on its democratic development. The Vice President is also scheduled to meet the Mongolian President and attend a demonstration of traditional Mongolian sports.
A Soviet satellite for much of the last century, Mongolia shook off Soviet influence in 1990 and turned to democracy. Since embracing post 1990 market reforms it has won praise as a model Central Asian democracy.
