U.S. Secretary of Commerce concludes negotiations with China
NBC News — Chinese and U.S economic and trade negotiators concluded their joint meeting monday in central China. After their meeting both sides told reporters that they were working towards a, quote, "win-win partnership." Memorandums of understanding were signed in areas of intellectual property rights, energy agreements and high tech trade.
Secretary of Commerce John Bryson announced that the U.S. and other foreign enterprises will now compete for subsidies in China's emerging technology sector. According to Secretary Bryson much of the emphasis on emerging industries and the 1.7 trillion dollar investment was focused on clean energy and clean energy technologies.
