Tornados rip through Dallas area

At least two tornados ripped through the Dallas area today, Tuesday, April 3, leaving flattened debris in their wake.

The National Weather Service described the tornados as "large and extremely dangerous."

They tore the roofs off homes and knocked down trees and power lines.

Tractor-trailers were tossed around like toys. RVs were overturned. Some buildings were ripped open, but the extent of the damage is not yet known.

So far there are no reports of injuries.

This same system has the potential to be strong and even severe as it heads our way.
