The latest high-tech offerings are on display at the annual Consumer Electronics Show
NBC NATIONAL NEWS — More than 3,000 companies are showing off their wares this week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and they have plenty of people to impress.
The crowds are huge, and so are expectations.
140,000 people are on hand, the biggest crowd yet.
Walking through nearly 2 million square feet of space, what they really want to do is watch TV.
There is Google TV, with search and apps.
You can also find 3D TV, soon available without the need for 3D glasses.
There's even virtual holographic TV.
Fortunately, the TVs are also getting cheaper as they get smarter.
A set that sold for $20,000 just a few years ago has been shoved aside for an even bigger screen complete with more features that will only set you back $3,000 today.
