NBC NATIONAL NEWS — The U.S. Postal Service is now talking about raising the price of stamps from 45 cents to 50 cents.
This is a solution proposed with many others, such as closing hundreds of offices and processing facilities across the country, as well as canceling Saturday delivery service.
All of the proposed solutions relate to a two percent decline in mail volume. This is largely due to online bill pay and email services.
Reports project that the U.S. Postal Service could lose $18 billion annual.
