Syria's Foreign Minister condemns Arab League
NBC News — Syria's Foreign Minister on monday strongly condemned the Arab League's decision to suspend the nation. Speaking to reporters in Damascus, Walid Al-Moualem said the move was a, quote "extremely dangerous step."
Syria has called for an emergency Arab Summit in an effort to prevent it from being suspended. In a surprise move on saturday, the Arab League suspended Syria's membership and called on its army to stop killing civilians. The Arab League will also impose economic and political sanctions on the country.
