NBC NATIONAL NEWS — A new survey by State Farm Insurance shows the number of teens who text and drive has not declined.
The survey shows 43 percent of drivers ages 16 and 17 say they have never texted while driving. Unfortunately, that's the exact same percentage of a survey done in 2010.
It also shows 76 percent of teens believe those who regularly text and drive will be killed while driving, while 93 percent say those who text and drive will get into an accident.
State Farm's Director of Technology Research said parents need to play a bigger role in teaching their teens about distracted driving.
