NBC News — Spain's already historic high unemployment rate continues to climb. Spain has the highest unemployment rate in Europe at 23% and new figures released by the government shows that the rate rose for the eighth straight month.

Youth unemployment remains the highest at approximately 50% for those under the age of 25. Spain's government has made unemployment their main priority and are putting in place several reforms.
