South Korea and U.S. hold joint military drill
NBC News — Air Forces from South Korea and the U.S. staged a joint aerial drill this week to practice search and rescue missions. This is an annual 12 day exercise called Max Thunder. It involves 50 aircraft including a U.S. aerial refueling plane.
The commander of the Seventh Air Force said when South Korea and the U.S. train together "we know there is no force that could beat us." North Korea denounced the exercise and threatened a "special action" against the south, but did not specify what action would be taken,.
