Secretary General of the Arab League calls for end of violence in Syria
NBC News — The head of the Arab League said monday that his organization was, "Alarmed by the Syrian government's treatment of civilians." During a press conference in Cairo, the Arab League Secretary General also called for the immediate halt of all violence in Syria.
The Secretary General's comments come a day after new violence in Syria. Sunday Syrian troops reportedly opened fire with artillery on a besieged city. At least 42 people were killed in the attack.
