Saudi king slams China and Russia
NBC News — Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah friday slammed Russia and China's veto of a U.N. resolution on Syria. In a speech broadcast on national television, King Abdullah called the vetoes, a quote "unfavorable move." King Abdullah is just the latest world leader to slam the vetoes at the U.N. Security Council.
The U.S., Great Britain and other European and Arab nations have condemned the lack of action by the Chinese and Russians. China and Russia said they vetoed the measure because the ongoing violence in Syria was an internal matter and it equated to taking sides in a civil war.
