Rocket attacks hit southern Israel
NBC News — Israeli security forces shot dead a Palestinian man in the West Bank wednesday and hit targets in Gaza City following a rocket attack on southern Israel. Israeli troops reportedly killed the man during an operation in a refugee camp outside Nablus.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said a group of Palestinians had hurled an explosive device at soldiers conducting routine activities in the area. In Gaza City, residents sifted through sites damaged overnight by the Israeli Air Force. The Israeli Army said in a written statement that the Air Force targeted two weapons manufacturing sites in the northern Gaza Strip in response to an earlier rocket attack on southern Israel.
