Protesters are back in Cairo's iconic Tahrir Square. Monday is the third day of protests by Egyptian pro-democracy activists. Demonstrators set up barriers, closing all routes into the square and are calling for a new uprising.

Thousands massed in the square over the weekend after the sentence for former President Hosni Mubarak was announced. Mubarak and his former interior minister were sentenced to life imprisonment but his sons were acquitted. The demonstrators demanded that Mubarak be given the death penalty for his involvement in the deaths of some 850 protesters during the country's uprising against his rule.
