Pro Democracy leader tours Myanmar
NBC News — Myanmar's pro democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi continued her tour of the country. Suu Kyi visited the Shwedagon Pagoda tuesday to pray for her ancestors. The Shwedagon Pagoda is considered to be the most sacred Buddhist Pagoda for people in Myanmar.
Security was extremely tight for the visit. Suu Kyi also visited a memorial statue for her father who fought to free Myanmar from British colonial rule. Suu Kyi's father is a hero in Myanmar, he was assassinated while fighting for independence from the British back in 1947.
