LUFKIN, TX (NBC33) — What started as fear of a possible animal invasion turned into a disturbing discovery about a customer at a business in Lufkin, Texas.
The original call came in on Thursday, June 28 shortly before 7:00 p.m. Reports say a store employee made the call and believed the excrement to be from a large animal. The fear from the caller was that the animal had possibly found its way into the storeroom and was trapped inside. They say the employees, fearing an animal attack, tied the door shut.
When officers arrived they first began looking through the surveillance footage to try and determine what type of animal they were up against. What they found was a much more disturbing discovery than any animal they were expecting to see.
Reports say that the last person to enter the area where the excrement was found was a black female, possibly in her 50s, dressed in blue. She entered and left the storeroom prior to the employees’ discovery of the excrement.
When asked if the business wished to file charges, the General Manager indicated that she was not sure.
No charges have been filed at this time, nor has the security footage been released.
