Police seek couple accused of locking 7-year-old in mock casket as punishment
NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Pennsylvania police are looking for two people who allegedly locked a 7-year-old boy inside a coffin as punishment.
The suspects have been identified as Brian Sleboda and a woman named "Lori." Lori's last name is order to protect the identity of the young victim.
Investigators say last Monday night they responded to a home in in Scranton after neighbors found the boy. The neighbors reported that the boy had been locked in the basement and was crying.
After an investigation, detectives say they found out the boy had been locked in a coffin. The two suspects also told him ghosts lived in the basement.
On previous occasions, the child said the suspects used duct tape to tape his hands to a chair as punishment. The boy was also allegedly made to wear diapers.
Scranton code enforcement officers condemned the home because they found numerous flies and ticks in the basement. They also found parts of the wood structure burned inside the basement of the home.
