Western Pennsylvania (WPMT) — A 4-year-old girl from western Pennsylvania gets in trouble with police because she had overdue library books.
The books were due back to the Freeport Area Library last October, but the girl still had them in her possession until last Thursday. The fines for the book totaled $81.
Library employees say they tried several times to get the books back, but they finally had to turn the case over to police, who then called the child's home.
The girl's mother then apologized and did pay the fine.
