Penn State trustees launch probe
NBC NATIONAL NEWS — The Penn State Board of Trustees will vote later today on forming a committee to investigate the school's handling of child sex abuse allegations against one of its former coaches.
Newly appointed interim president Rodney Erickson told the school's board of trustees this morning that the scandal must be dealt with immediately.
There does seem to be a change in attitudes on campus.
The anger of Wednesday night, for many, is giving way to the horror of the accusations of sexual abuse by former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky, compassion for the young victims of those alleged attacks, and the possibility of a cover-up.
A pep rally scheduled for this evening has been canceled and replaced by a candle light vigil.
