North Korea demands cancellation of joint military exercise
NBC News — North Korea is demanding that South Korea and the U.S. cancel their annual joint military exercise. An anchor on North Korea's state TV news read on air monday a letter from the country's military condemning the exercise, which is scheduled to take place next week.
The letter that the exercise would perpetuate the cycle of mistrust and confrontation in the region and could lead to a nuclear war. In the open letter, North Korea also claimed that the North Korean army and people are not what they used to be in the past, saying they are ready to fight a nuclear war if need be.
