NBC NATIONAL NEWS — An evacuation order at North Dakota State University has been lifted.
The campus was evacuated after the university received a bomb threat this morning.
The evacuation order was lifted after a search of the buildings found no evidence of any bombs.
The university president says he is happy the campus was able to be re-opened in a timely manner. Officials say they will continue to investigate to find out who was behind the bomb scare.
"We're very pleased with the response of the campus community and the community around campus. We realize that this put an inordinate strain on local roadways and such,” stated Dean Bresciani, NDSU president. “I'm just pleased we were able to have efficiently gone through the campus, inspected what we needed to inspect and re-open the campus in a timely manner. Obviously, this is a very real threat to the campus. We have to take it seriously, but we've done everything reasonably to ensure that the campus is safe."
