It's not the title any city wants, Reading, Pennsylvania has been named the poorest city in America.

According to new census data more than 41 percent of people in Reading live at or below the poverty line.

Many of Reading's biggest employers closed more than a decade ago and officials say the amount of layoffs since the recession has made finding good paying jobs tough.

Census data shows Flint, Michigan has the second highest poverty rate in the country.
