Military divorces rate rising
NBC NEWS — The number of military marriages ending up in divorce is on the rise.
The Pentagon estimates that nearly 30,000 military marriages ended in divorce this year alone, which means a divorce rate of almost four percent in 2011 - the highest military divorce rate in 12 years.
The Air Force has the highest divorce rate at almost four percent, while the Navy has the lowest divorce rate at about 3.5 percent.
The most recent estimate on the civilian divorce rate is 3.5 percent; those numbers come from 2009.
