Mission, KS (KSHB) — A 29-year-old Kansas man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly trying to shoot a woman with buckshot in an apparent love triangle gone bad.
Lenexa Police responded to a shots fired call at the Wind River Lodge Apartments in Shawnee Mission, Kan., just after 9 p.m. Monday. When they got there, they found buckshot from a shotgun near one of the apartments.
According to police, a 32-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were in some kind of love triangle with suspect Justin Moore. When Moore found out, he drove to the complex, confronted the man and woman and then tried to shoot her.
She was able to get inside before he fired, hitting the side of the apartment building. Moore then aimed at the other man, but fled the scene instead of shooting.
Moore was arrested at his Gardner, Kan., home two hours later. He has been charged with attempted first-degree murder.
